Vero Workplace Giving
Workplace Giving involves making regular donations to chosen charities through a company’s payroll system. In 2005, Vero worked closely with the Australian Charities Fund (ACF) to initiate our workplace-giving program - Verogive.
Verogive was launched nationally in November 2005, following a strong desire by employees and Vero senior management to make a positive contribution to the community. Vero’s six charities were chosen from staff survey results. Employees can choose to donate from their pre-tax salary to one or more of the following:
- The Cancer Council
- The Smith Family
- Australian Wildlife Conservancy
- Heart Foundation
- Assistance Dogs Australia
- Blackwood
In support of employees who choose to make a contribution through the Verogive program, Vero has committed to match all contributions on a dollar-for-dollar basis to the value of $50,000
Employee volunteering
Vero staff can also take community leave (one day paid leave or a half day) to volunteer their time to work with their charity of choice.
