Save Wongalara Campaign
The Verogive Melbourne team launched a campaign in November/December 2006 called Save Wongalara. The Wongalara Sanctuary is located in the Northern Territory on the edge of Arnhem Land near Kakadu National Park.
The Sanctuary was under threat of being sold to a party wishing to develop it for intensive grazing.
Over 41 staff participated in this campaign. We set a target of saving 100 acres and we exceed it by saving 116.
Through the generosity of Vero and other Workplace Giving programs Wongalara was saved.
