Heart Foundation/Blackmores Sydney Running Festival

The annual Blackmores Sydney Running Festival was held on Sunday 17 September with 17,500 participants from 52 countries. 9 Vero volunteers gave up their Sunday morning sleep-in to assist on drink station 1 between 6am and 10am. The volunteers set up the drink station, distributed water to the Marathon and 9km Bridge runners, collected discarded cups and packed down the drink station at the end of the event. The Heart Foundation is well on the way to reach their target of $60,000 for this event, with funds raised from entry fees and participant sponsorships.

Chatswood Charity Walk/Run

To help promote healthy hearts in the office environment the Chatswood Verogive team launched a fun run/walk event in April 2006.

This is becoming an annual event with the 2nd event taking place in February 2007.

Heart Foundation representatives and fitness professional came along to give use some handy tips on how to keep the heart healthy. We even had a visit from the healthy heart.

Over 130 staff have participated raising $1000 through a gold coin entry fee.
