Home Warranty Insurance

Home Warranty Insurance

False

Anyone building a new home in most parts of Australia, are obliged to have a policy of Home Warranty Insurance in place before they sign the building contract. Home Warranty Insurance is acquired by the builder and issued to the homeowner to protect them and subsequent purchasers against loss due to non-completion, defects and breach of statutory warranties.

Whilst Vero no longer issues Home Owners Warranty policies, home owners can rest assured that all current Vero Home Owners Warranty insurance policies will remain valid for the relevant term. Vero’s claims team will continue to process any valid claims received on all certificates issued.

Making a claim

Due to Home Owners Warranty Insurance being governed by individual state and territory building legislation, it’s important to know how the state legislation applies to your circumstance before you claim. At Vero we know Home Warranty can be a complex product, so to help identify and process your claim, we have created this page and broken down the relevant information by state.

By clicking on your state you will find your relevant policy information, claim and notifications forms and frequently asked questions for your convenience. If you find that after you have read through the material, you are still unsure, please contact our friendly and helpful customer service staff.
