Vero wins 2019 NIBA Large General Insurer of the Year

By  Vero Insurance

From everyone at Vero, we would like to thank you for helping us become the 2019 NIBA Large General Insurer of the Year.

Thank you not only for those who voted, but for the invaluable feedback that you continue to provide. It’s only through working in partnership that we’ve been able to reach a deeper understanding of your needs, and to improve our products and services accordingly.

Our Executive General Manager, Andrew Mair, has described the last quarter as a real game-changer with “really positive momentum for Vero at the moment, built on our ability to offer unique experiences, insights and quality service. We have continued to focus on new learning and development initiatives, designed to reinforce our commitment to ensuring our broker network has the expert tools, resources and skills to lead the competition.”

The new Vero Risk Profiler tool was developed following insights from the Vero 2019 SME Index which identified brokers who provide risk profiling and management services. We hope this tool helps to bridge this gap by providing action-orientated advice to help your clients reduce key insurance risks relevant to their industry.

We have also refreshed our approach to the annual NIBA Warren Tickle Memorial Award for Young Broker of the Year, that was recently awarded to Caitlin Carson of Marsh. As part of the refresh, we launched the Young Broker Alumni group to connect previous award winners and the 2019 finalists. The alumni’s inaugural kick-off event was a four-day leadership and mentorship experience with Vero senior executives in the Australian outback, dubbed the Red Centre Experience.

NIBA CEO Dallas Booth has congratulated the fresh, new approach and our ongoing commitment to brokers. “Vero has supported our Warren Tickle Award for young broker for the past 30 years, and it’s impressive to see them investing in building the Young Broker Alumni, combining this year’s state winners and the previous national winners, to build a network of our industry’s best and brightest.”

In addition, we have refreshed the Suncorp Learning Campus, transforming it into a new subscription-style learning platform that provides brokers access to over 1,000 on-demand CPD accredited training courses. Andrew Mair has said “brokers can tailor-make their own flexible learning experience, with specialist providers offering courses across customer, compliance and regulation, business and leadership, sales, communication and team development”.

So again, on the behalf of the team at Vero, we would like to thank you each and everyone one of you for your integral part in helping us become the 2019 NIBA Large General Insurer of the Year.
